Chemical Engineering in India is the branch of engineering that transforms the raw materials into the useful products by applying the principle of physics, mathematics, chemistry & economies through design, development and operation of the process. They are responsible for optimizing the existing process of manufacturing, developing the new technological process and ensuring the safety and sustainability of the process and products.
Demand of Chemical Engineering
The demand of Chemical Engineering in India is high due to the thriving number of chemical industry present. Every year more than 75K Chemical Engineer graduate in India among them 80 to 85% get the placement as per data given by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Indian chemical industry is about to grow at the rate of 8 to 10% per year over the next decade by touching the market size of $300 billion by 2025 as per the report by the India Chemical Council.
